PA Lottery, IWG Launch New iLottery Category Dubbed ‘EZ eInstants’

iGaming supplier Instant Win Gaming (IWG) has announced a new collaboration with the Pennsylvania Lottery to launch easy-to-play eInstant games called “EZ eInstants.”

The PA Lottery is the first in the U.S. to launch IWG’s “eFastPlay” category, designed to offer a simplistic playing experience offering instant gratification and quick payouts. Like other IWG titles, EZ eInstants are hosted on its InstantRGS server, eliminating the need for support from the iLottery platform provider.

“Kudos to the team at Pennsylvania Lottery for launching the first range of EZ eInstants,” said Rhydian Fisher, CEO at IWG. “This new category launch is very exciting and frankly, has not happened too many times in the iLottery industry. As iLottery programs mature, we feel it is critical as a strategic content supplier to offer a variety of gameplay experiences. These EZ eInstants will cater to a specific group of lottery players, providing the Pennsylvania Lottery with an opportunity to engage with new players for their iLottery program.”

      Three titles make a debut

Three titles have been announced as part of the PA’s first launch, including Treasure Tomb, Prospector’s Gold Rush, and Firework Fortune Frenzy. More games are in the works for the coming months and are expected to be released in subsequent launches.

“We’re very excited for our new EZ eInstant category to go live. These games, provided by IWG, will be a great addition to our existing portfolio, offering up new experiences that cast a wider net of gameplay appeal and in turn, create incremental revenues for older Pennsylvanians,” said Drew Svitko, Executive Director at the Pennsylvania Lottery. “We have several EZ eInstant games in our future release plans, and we cannot wait to see how players respond to this new category.”

IWG is further enhancing the new category of games by utilizing its “InstantJackpots” technology. This will introduce a linked jackpot to the EZ eInstants, as is currently available on all of the PA Lottery’s EZ titles.

Established in 2011, IWG provides online instant-win games for lotteries and has launched over 250 games to date. It also offers a wide range of services, including strategy, consultancy, and the design and development of high-quality games.

Recently, Pennsylvania stakeholders have been engaged in a legal debate surrounding the status of cash-paying electronic game terminals, known as “skill games.” The Pennsylvania Supreme Court is set to decide whether these machines, prevalent in various establishments, constitute unlicensed gambling, a decision that could impact the Pennsylvania Lottery’s revenue.
