About New Mexico State Lottery

Founded in 1996, the New Mexico Lottery, overseen by a dedicated seven-person board appointed by the state government, operates independently to offer a mix of draw games and scratch-offs.

As a proud member of the Multi-State Lottery Association, it presents fun options like Powerball, Mega Millions, Monopoly Millionaires’ Club, Hot Lotto, Roadrunner Cash, Pick 3, Quicksters, and Lucky Numbers Bingo.

Notably, New Mexico stands among eight states directing 30% of lottery sales to fund college scholarships. Originally covering full tuition in 1996, the scholarship now supports residents attending state universities with a 2.5 GPA or higher, reflecting the lottery’s commitment to education.
