About the Connecticut Lottery

The Connecticut Lottery was established in 1971 after Gov. Thomas Meskill signed Public Act No. 865 into law. The first tickets became available in February 1972, with many more games added over the years. Besides in-state draw games and instant games, Connecticut players can also purchase tickets for the interstate lottery games Powerball, Mega Millions, and Lucky for Life.

Connecticut Lottery tickets aren’t available for purchase online through the official website, as online lottery sales require a valid license from the state. No licenses have been issued to other services to offer lottery ticket sales online.

Residents can contact the Connecticut Lottery by phone at (860) 713-2700 between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM Monday – Friday. Players can also complete the contact form on the website, which will be responded to by email within 3-5 business days.

The official CT Lottery app is available for download from the App Store and Google Play Store. Users can check winning numbers and scan tickets to see if they’re a winner. Players can also check out the collection of scratch games and find the nearest Lottery retailer. No ticket sales are available using the mobile app.
