About the Louisiana Lottery

The first Louisiana Lottery was established as a private business in 1868, which had a monopoly on legalized gaming and also offered games outside the state. However, the company shut down in 1894 amid corruption allegations. The present Louisiana Lottery contributes $100 million in proceeds to the Minimum Foundation Program annually to fund public education.

Louisiana Lottery tickets aren’t available for purchase online, and games are not available for play on mobile devices. However, players can download the Louisiana Lottery official app to use many features related to their gameplay.

Customers can contact the Louisiana Lottery by phone at their nearest Regional Office or contact Lottery Headquarters at (225) 297- 2000. Answers to the most common inquiries can be found in the FAQs section on the website, and players can email questions to info@louisianalottery.com.

The Louisiana Lottery provides an official mobile app for iOS and Android. Some of the features include a ticket checker to scan tickets for winners, a virtual payslip to pick numbers in advance, and information about the latest winning jackpots. Users can also find the nearest retailer and participate in exclusive promotions.
