The Kentucky Lottery launched in April 1989 after over 60% of residents voted to approve it in the November 1988 general election. Sales on the first day reached over $5 million. At that time sales opened for two scratch-off games, Kentucky Derby Dreamstakes and Beginner’s Luck. How to Claim Prizes & Claim Centers

Players can redeem winning tickets of up to $600 at any Kentucky Lottery authorized retailer. No claim form is required.
