EQL Games Providing eInstants In Virginia As Part Of State’s iLottery Push

      Welcome to Virginia sign

EQL Games announced in a press release Tuesday that it is now supplying iLottery games for Virginia’s players.

Through partnerships with iGaming aggregator Pariplay and with NeoPollard Interactive, the Louisville-based gaming company is providing the Virginia Lottery with eInstant games for the state’s iLottery platform. The games will be made available through Pariplay’s “Fusion” aggregation platform.

With other states that are regulated to offer iLottery products amping up their production, it only made sense for Virginia to expand its offerings.

“As the Virginia Lottery’s newest online content provider, EQL is contributing to the expansion of our iLottery games portfolio,” said Scott Kenyon, director of marketing at the Virginia Lottery. “EQL Games’ platform allows us to access games from studios across the world, featuring game mechanics that support our ongoing strategy of acquiring new players and those looking for fresh, new gameplay experiences.”

      Evolving with the competition

By upping its iLottery offerings, the Virginia Lottery will be in a better spot to compete in a state that also regulates online sports betting and land-based casino gaming. Often, eInstant iLottery games resemble games found in online casinos.

Although no recent data in Virginia suggests that the emergence of regulated online sports betting and land-based casinos is displacing lottery players, there have been such concerns in other markets like Massachusetts. (Notably, the Massachusetts Lottery is not regulated to offer iLottery games.)

EQL Games currently operates in partnership with lotteries on two continents, and plans by the end of 2024 to be live in at least seven lotteries across three continents.

“EQL Games looks forward to partnering with the Virginia Lottery on these exciting initiatives,” said Brad Cummings, CEO of EQL Games. “Our content is changing the way digital lotteries are looking at new games. We can now supply them with games from leading studios across the world and, as a result, Virginia players will now have options that will entertain them like never before.”

Other companies similar to EQL Games will likely also see a bump in business opportunities as more lotteries seek to expand offerings in an effort to capture market share.
