      7 eleven

This certainly qualifies as a Big Gulp of lottery news, as Jackpot.com has inked an exclusive deal with 7-Eleven that makes the former the official lottery courier service for the chain of convenience stores.

The program is being launched in Ohio and Massachusetts, where 7-Eleven patrons will be able to sign up and play lottery games and scratch-offs on the Jackpot app, along with a special launch promotion — code “7Eleven” — that will grant customers a free lottery ticket on their first deposit.

“We’re thrilled to work with 7-Eleven, the leading retailer of lottery tickets in the country,” Akshay Khanna, CEO and co-founder of Jackpot.com, said in a press release announcing the deal. “Leveraging our technology and innovation, we can provide additional convenience for their customers, while adding an additional source of revenue. A true win-win relationship for all.”

This lottery partnership packs some serious numbers. In Ohio, the nation’s seventh-largest lottery market, and Massachusetts, where the lottery generated $1.2 billion in fiscal 2024 profits, Jackpot.com’s partnership with 7-Eleven aims to bring digital convenience to lottery players.

The company takes responsible gambling seriously, as noted in the release, as players on Jackpot.com can set spending and deposit limits, access gambling resources, and use self-exclusion tools. Jackpot.com is the only lottery courier that launched with iCap certification from the National Council on Problem Gambling — although competitor Jackpocket has also received such certification post-launch.

Jackpot.com currently offers its services in five other states in addition to Ohio and Massachusetts: Texas, New York, New Jersey, Arkansas, and Colorado.

On the heels of another big move

Jackpot.com made a similar Slurpee-sized splash earlier this year when it announced an exclusive deal with the Associated Press, making it the AP’s official lottery results provider and courier service.

That June deal put Jackpot.com’s results front and center on APNews.com and created a dedicated lottery feed for AP’s media network. AP readers can track winning numbers, jackpot sizes, and lottery news in real-time, while also buying tickets through Jackpot.com in the seven states it operates.

“Working with The Associated Press as their official lottery courier and provider of state lottery results marks a pivotal moment for us at Jackpot.com,” Khanna said at the time. “This collaboration not only helps provide readers with the latest lottery drawing results, but enables them to seamlessly and responsibly purchase lottery tickets online. Through AP’s extensive reach, we’re not just selling tickets; we’re transforming the landscape of lottery gaming.”

That move came shortly after Jackpot.com joined the North American Association of State & Provincial Lotteries in May.
