      Nebraska welcome sign

Nebraska is known for its mostly flat terrain, its corn and beef production, being the birthplace of Arbor Day, and playing home to the College World Series.

This one will probably never crack the “Nebraska fun facts” list, but on Thursday morning, Nebraska officially became a two-digital-lottery-courier state, as Lotto.com has launched in the Cornhusker State.

Lotto.com is one of three prominent U.S. lottery courier apps, along with Jackpocket — which launched in Nebraska last June — and Jackpot.com, which is not yet available in Nebraska.

This marks Lotto.com’s ninth state, as Nebraska joins Arkansas, Colorado, Minnesota, New Jersey (where the company is headquartered), New York, Ohio, Oregon, and Texas.

      Serving Nebraskans ‘everywhere they are’

Lotto.com arrives in Nebraska with 1.8 million customers, providing them access to purchase scratch tickets or tickets for lottery draw games such as Powerball and Mega Millions from the comfort of their phone or computer.

“Building on our success in neighboring Colorado with both draw and scratch games, we are committed to enhancing the accessibility and convenience of the lottery,” said Lotto.com Inc. CEO Thomas Metzger in a press release. “We want to serve Nebraskans everywhere they are, from the panhandle to the sandhills and all across the state.”

With the slogan “Welcome to winever” emblazoned on its website, Lotto.com proudly notes that it has contributed approximately $80 million to state-funded lottery initiatives and purchased the largest digital scratch ticket win ever, a $3 million hit for a Colorado player.

Rob Porter, Lotto.com Inc.’s general counsel, is originally from Nebraska.

“I am so excited to bring Lotto.com to my home state of Nebraska,” Porter said. “We are honored to be providing Nebraskans with a convenient way to order their favorite official state lottery tickets, and we look forward to celebrating future wins!”

Lotto.com first launched in June 2021. Along with the nine states in which it is currently available, the company says it has “plans to expand to additional states in the near future.”
